Jason Wells has served as the principal of Birdville High School in Birdville ISD since 2008, located northeast
of Ft. Worth. During his tenure, Birdville High has performed as one of the top high schools in North Texas by
excelling in academics and extracurricular activities with a positive campus culture that is centered on high
expectations and family values.
Mr. Wells is currently in his 26th year in the education profession and served as a mathematics teacher and
coach at both the middle school and high school levels before moving into administration. He served in
Lampasas ISD and Ft. Worth ISD prior to joining Birdville ISD. His other positions served in administration
were as an assistant principal at Birdville High School and North Ridge Middle School, both of Birdville ISD.
He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Tarleton State University.

Jason Wells is a Granbury High School graduate and has been married to his middle school sweetheart from
Tolar, Lyndi Wells, for 28 years. They have a 25-year-old son, Ethan, who lives in Denton, and a 23-year-old
daughter, Landry, who lives in Dallas and she is married to Mason McCallum.
The BDISD Board of Trustees will meet after the mandatory
21 day waiting period to vote on final approval.
